      <title>M&amp;amp;S purple ruched ankle boots &#45; size 8 fits my size 9 foot!</title>

        <p>Had a minor miracle happen a few days ago. I saw some stunning purple suede effect ankle boots in Marks and Spencers, tried on the only pair of size 8s and they actually fit my wide size 9 foot! <img src="http://www.prettybigshoes.net/images/smileys/smile.gif" width="19" height="19" alt="smile" style="border:0;" /></p>

<p>Most M&amp;S size 8s won&#8217;t go near fitting me. My wide foot causes problems, and as a size 9, I can sometimes technically get my foot in, but it&#8217;s always way too tight to walk in.</p>

<p>I think the low zip down style of these boots helps, and the length is generous. It just shows you that if you&#8217;re lucky enough to only take size 9 UK, you can sometimes get lucky on the high street with a generous 8.

        <p>I saw these shoes in River Island this evening and am besotted, sadly they only go to size 8 and I&#8217;m a 9. <br />

        <p>While there are a growing number of websites catering for the niche market of ladies shoes in larger sizes, I still have trouble finding nice socks in my size. </p>

<p>In fact, for several years now I&#8217;ve resorted to wearing men&#8217;s socks from Marks &amp; Spencer, or occasionally buying socks online from a UK website called <a href="http://www.blueshire.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=26">Blueshire</a>. They do a few ladies styles up to size 9.</p>

<p>While M&amp;S often have striped/coloured styles in their men&#8217;s section that are not too bad, I&#8217;d love to get some girly socks. I have seen more exciting styles in some designer men&#8217;s ranges, but the trouble with most men&#8217;s socks is that they are very fine and go up very high on the leg.</p>

<p>Does anyone know of any shops or websites selling socks suitable for ladies with big feet?
