I want this website to be a support site for ladies with larger feet where we can find shops selling shoes in our size and chat with others in the same boat.
In time, I hope that if this site gathers a bit of momentum, we can use it to show mainstream shoe manufacturers and retailers that there is a market for shoes in larger sizes too.
The site will mainly function as a message board initially. After seeing people post over 500 comments on the 4 year old blog post that triggered this site http://www.janinedalton.com/blog/archives/2004/ladies-shoes-in-large-sizes-in-london/, I thought it would be much better if we had a proper, easier way of sharing shops and info and this is the result.
I plan to add more features to the site over time. The main thing I want to do is to have a proper directory of shops, that will be searchable. While shops and special offers etc will be discussed on the forums, I think that a directory listing all shops, where you can see everything at a glance, or search based on your country or size would be most beneficial.
I’m also thinking of adding an online petition which could be used down the line to approach mainstream retailers re stocking larger sizes.
These are just a couple of ideas. I really want to hear what features you would find most interesting and useful, so that I can make this site a central reference point for ladies with larger feet.
