Originally famous for their fancy flop flops, UK brand Fitflop now have a much wider range of footwear including boots, sneakers, clogs, slippers & even wellies - all with their comfort technology built in.

Most Fitflop styles go up to size 9 UK (11 US, 43 EU) although you may need to buy direct, as other stockists seem to stop at 8 UK (10 US) as usual.

Tip: if you're a size 9 & live near a Fitflop stockist, you could try on various size 8s there first, so you can see how they feel on & judge whether size 9 would work for you before you get into ordering online.

Narrow, medium and wide fit

Most Fitflop shoes and boots are normal to wide fitting. If you have a narrow foot, look for their Dynamicush footbed styles.

Do Fitflops run true to size?

I bought 2 pairs of size 9 uk Fitflops (11 us) in 2021 & found Fitflops sizing runs a little big. I really struggle with finding comfy, everyday shoes. So far, I've been impressed with the quality & comfort of Fitflops, but the sizing can be a bit inconsistent.

I find their laced Rally trainers a generous size 9 and quite wide, which may well fit size 9.5 UK (11.5 US) feet too. See my Fitflop rally sneakers review for more info.

After my sneakers' success, I treated myself to suede ankle boots in the Black Friday sale. I found the size 9 uk Sumi ankle booties a medium width and true to size when I put them on. Unfortunately they rubbed the back of my heels on walks and I realised they were a smidge too big - more like size 9¼. Luckily I found that wearing thicker socks or using padded heel grips fixed this, because I love the look of the boots and how comfy they are underfoot.

Shipping & Returns

Fitflop ship to UK, Europe, USA & Canada (click your location to go direct to large sizes available there). One big plus is that all taxes and duties are included at checkout, so there are no nasty surprises on delivery.

While they do offer free shipping with a minimum spend, you'll often need to pay if you're buying just 1 pair. It's £4 for UK, but $9 for USA & €8.50 for Europe - ouch! I found the shipping from the EU website to Ireland (via DPD) very efficient at least.

Fitflop offer 28 day returns. There's free returns in the UK (excluding clearance items) and the US (but final sale items can't be returned & there is a restocking fee). You have to pay return postage in Europe and Canada though.

Fitflop Discount Codes

Fitflops are not cheap but you can get 15-20% off your first order (full price shoes only) if you join their mailing list. That's what I did.
