Alternative shops to Evans for wide large size shoes
UK plus-size clothing chain Evans was sold to Australian retailer City Chic Collective in December 2020.
It's a big relief for all Evans fans that the brand has been saved. However Evans will now be an online only retailer.
This is a real shame because Evans was the only high street chain where you could just walk in & try on size 10/11 UK shoes.
You can still buy Evans shoes online, but note that the stock and sizing is completely different since 2021. The new owners kept the Evans name only. I've had feedback that the new Evans shoe sizing is less generous and that their extra wide styles are not as wide as before. Read more about the new Evans here.
In these uncertain times it's best to have as many shoe shopping options as possible. So here's a list of other stores selling wide shoes in large sizes. If you need wide shoes in size 9 UK there are still a few physical retail options if you prefer to shop in person. There are also online stores doing wide fit shoes up to size 11 UK.
Top tip: the old Evans shoe sizes were generous, so you may need to go up a size in other brands.
