Rothy's beautiful bow flats are back in a perfect pop of pink, along with leopard print, red & back. These truly are pretty big shoes, available up to size 13 us.
They've also got plenty more pretty flats including mary janes, slingback & slides. Many come in classic creamy tones in open mesh fabric, that capitalises on this season's crochet trend.

Extra wide feet can be an extra big problem, but you'll feel extra special in these beautiful Belle sandals from UK brand Sargasso & Grey.
In an extra wide EEE fit up to size 44 (9.5 uk), they're even bunion friendly. As well as this glam gold, they come in lovely lavender, tan or black.
Plus they have plenty more styles to choose from, from flats to high heels.
An investment buy for sure, but Sargasso & Grey get good reviews for quality and comfort. Better to buy less & buy well in my book.

UK Shoe Shop Closures
In sad news, large size specialists Magnus closed their London store at the end of May after 28 years.
Owner Simon Drinkwater says times are really difficult for UK retailers. Closing their Chiltern Street branch was the last thing they wanted, but they had no option due to extreme rent increases.
If you're near Northampton, you can still visit their shop in the village of Harpole and their website has 360° views of all their size 8-13 uk (42-47 eu) shoes & ships worldwide. A mail order catalogue is also still available on request.
Another independent store Ellie Dickins shoes in Hungerford, Berkshire also sadly shut down in May after over 20 years.
Being able to try on shoes in a shop is becoming ever rarer - so frustrating! 😭
Shops Added in June 2025
Set up in 2019 by former pro dancers in Ukraine, Harlem Shoes do beautiful shoes made to order in Turkey up to size 49 eu in 4 widths (narrow to extra wide). Specialists in retro swing style dancing shoes, the shoes can also be worn outside (they recommend the synthetic sole option for this) and can be customised for weddings etc. Wide range of styles including Mary Jane flats, t-bar shoes, sandals, brogues & barefoot shoes. If shoes are not in stock, they need to be made to order which takes 2-3 months. They also have an Etsy store with rave reviews.
Saucony
US running brand Saucony have been around since 1898 so they know their stuff. As well as women's running, trail/hiking & walking shoes up to size 12 us (10 uk, 44.5 eu), including half sizes, they also do plenty of casual lifestyle sneakers, some with unisex sizing up to a women's 15.5 us (13.5 uk). My fave is the retro Trainer 80 in cute colour combos. Saucony ship worldwide with taxes included at checkout & free returns. I got great customer service when I had a problem post purchase in May 2025.
Barefoot style leather ballet flats, mary janes, strap walking sandals & slippers up to women's size 13 to 15 us. All handmade in Oregon and you can even customise some styles to choose your own colours! They can also make each shoe a different size & sell single shoes.
