Can a store have TOO much on offer? I think so.

Caland shoes, also working online under the name "Groteschoenen" (big shoes), has a vast collection. In my opinion too big.
I like classy models, and there is too much that looks like it is from Shein/Temu. Brands that copy the leaders, but obviously with less taste and refinement, like Hartjes, Babouche or Seibel, to name a few. I would like to see them curate more. Right now there is a vast collection of very ugly white and silver painted boots and such, I hope they sell them, but they are very annoying as the overcrowd the shop.

Selection within the webshop is very tough. If you select 2 materials, it only shows the shoes with both materials, which makes no sense. If you do more than 2 selections, it turns every selection into an OR option, and it is no longer AND, not helping to reduce the thousands of options. So they really need to do OR within a criterium, and do AND between criteria. With so many brands you also want more info about sizing differences.

Delivery in the Netherlands is fast and decent.

Return shipping may be improved, it is rather pricey and cumbersome as you have to arrange it yourself. It would be nice to have a 5€ fee for getting a return barcode.

Then there is some remorse about the overall pricing. They do have a brick-and-mortar store, which makes a small mark-up acceptable to cover all costs, but for the webshop it is not acceptable that the price is above recommended street pricing from the various makers. So most shoes are 10-20€ more expensive than on other websites. They also have very limited sales price reductions.

If you like to try many shoes, go to Rotterdam (getting there is another story) and they deliver an excellent job. But online, the shopping experience is very mediocre.
