Puma Fashionable feminine sneakers, womens to 42.5, Unisex to 48
I find that Puma's unisex EU sizing runs half a size large in some styles. I'm usually size 9 uk in Sports brands (Nike, Adidas, Brooks) but size 8.5 uk / 42.5 fits me in several Puma unisex shoes including their popular Speedcats and Palermo sneakers.
However I tried a couple of Softride styles (which have a softer insole and foam in the sole) and found these more narrow and a snug fit. The unisex St Miler shoes in 8.5 UK / 42.5 were too narrow and tight on me, whereas female Cosmic sneakers felt slightly bigger. I would still have sized up to my usual size 9 uk if they made them, but I liked them so much I kept them and stretched them and now the 8.5 uk Cosmic fits me great - plenty wide and long enough - super comfy!

My Puma Speedcats Review
I bought my Speedcat OGs in March 2026 half price in a Puma outlet. They never appealed to me before, but I tried on a pair while I was there & went oooh!
I was so surprised that the upper felt so soft, like wearing slippers. I got even more excited when they had removable insoles and my new custom orthotics for my awkward feet fit in them - yay!
I've medium to wide feet, and even though Speedcats look very slim, my feet have plenty of room, possibly because they're unisex so wider.
Now they were originally a driving shoe, worn by motor racing drivers back in the day, and their modern comeback is firmly as a casual lifestyle shoe.
But I've been pleasantly surprised by how far I can walk in them. I'm building it up slowly and still need proper running or walking shoes for 15K+ step days, but for daily errands etc these are already my go-to.
My caveat is that I'm wearing custom insoles in mine. Speedcat OGs do come with lovely soft ortholite insoles in them, but they're completely flat with no arch support, and these are low profile sneakers with the sole close to the ground.
So while many wear them comfortably as is, if you need more support, you may find upgrading your insoles makes all the difference. My partner likes Dr Scholl's which are quite affordable, but insoles are quite a personal thing. Amazon does plenty of insole brands to suit all budgets where you can read reviews to find ones to suit you best.
