Comfy Custom Clogs

I've always wanted a Mary Jane clog like the Dansko Sam, but I wear women's US 15. When I contacted Sven's size was no problem at all - they had me do a tracing - though they weren't able to accommodate my 5/8" lift on my left side.

I was so so happy when the shoes came! I grew up seeing this style and thought I'd never be able to have my own. They're comfortable and I can wear them all day. The straps were a little too long so I punched a few of my own holes, but that was no problem.

AND THEN. Four months later, the strap on the left shoe broke as I was walking down the street, and on inspection, I could see that the strap on the right side was going to go the same way! When I contacted Sven's, they told me to send them in.

Although they reply quickly enough when I send an email, their replies are usually no more than 2-5 words, which I've found a little frustrating. I never got confirmation that they had received my package, repaired the shoes, or sent them back, but about 2 week later I received my repaired clogs (no note or anything!) and I was stunned at the detailed attention they had paid!

The new straps were much thicker leather (still perfectly comfortable) AND they had shortened them and added holes at the proper lengths for me, which I had not mentioned or asked for at all! They had also noticed that the little heel cushions had rubbed away, so they replaced them and sent two extras. They also included a little cloth carrier bag!

All in all, I'm very impressed with the quality, and, though of course I wish they hadn't broken in the first place, they're now literally better than new. The company's communication leaves something to be desired, but they're clearly very attentive in spite of that! I will absolutely order from them again someday.
