Birkenstocks are now uber fashionable & still come with their famous supportive footbed. They ain't cheap but they last. I'm on year 3 of my 2 strap Arizona style, which do double duty as my year round house shoes and my summer sandals. Women's specific styles go up to a generous 43 (12-12.5 us, or 10 uk even though they say 9), with some in both narrow & regular (medium-wide). But some unisex go up to 50 eu.
